Permanent Holiday Lighting in Aurora, Ontario
The Sempra Effect.
Permanent Holiday Lighting in Aurora, Ontario
Picture a winter evening on a tree-lined Aurora street. The best-lit house isn't the one with the most lights. It's the one where the roofline glows evenly and the peaks and gables stand out, and in daylight you can't tell anything is there.
That's the goal of every Sempra Illuminations installation. We treat permanent holiday lighting in Aurora as architectural lighting first. On most nights, it gives your home a warm-white glow that suits its style. When the holidays come, the same system switches to full colour at the tap of a button.
Sempra is based next door in Richmond Hill and serves homeowners throughout the Town of Aurora.
Architectural Lighting First, Holiday Lighting Second
Many people think of permanent lighting as an easier way to put up Christmas lights, and it is. But for many homeowners, the bigger benefit is how the house looks the other 11 months of the year.
Each Celebright bulb has a dedicated white LED alongside its colour channels, so the warm white is a real white rather than a blend of colours. Brightness is adjustable, so the effect can range from a faint outline to a confident glow. Schedules can follow sunrise and sunset, so the lights come on at dusk year-round without anyone touching a switch.
The result is closer to the lighting on a well-designed custom home than to a seasonal display. It's subtle, consistent, and suits the lines of the house.
Designed to Disappear by Day
Architectural lighting only works if the hardware stays out of sight. Celebright is built with that in mind:
Colour-matched aluminum track. More than 100 colours are available, so the track can match your fascia and trim instead of standing out.
Tucked under the fascia. In most homes, the track slides beneath the fascia, so it's almost invisible from the street during the day.
Eleven track profiles. Different rooflines need different hardware. Having multiple profiles lets us fit the system to your home's details.
Small, frosted bulbs. The 20 mm bulbs have a frosted shell that keeps them low-profile when off and gives an even, diffused glow when on.
Wiring out of view. Where possible, we run wires through the attic, so no cables show on the exterior.
Lighting Aurora's Neighbourhoods
The Town of Aurora has ten neighbourhoods, and their homes vary widely. We look at each one individually.
Aurora Village is the town's historic heart, centred on Yonge and Wellington. Its Heritage Conservation District sits in the northeast quadrant of that intersection. For heritage homes, a discreet, colour-matched system is often the most suitable approach. We recommend checking with the Town about any heritage guidelines before exterior work.
Hills of St. Andrew is known for winding, hilly streets and Georgian-style brick homes. Aurora Estates, along the southern edge of the Oak Ridges Moraine, has large estate properties with long, detailed rooflines.
Aurora Heights, the town's first subdivision, has a mix of bungalows, semi-detached homes, two-storey houses and newer custom builds. Bayview Wellington and Bayview Northeast have many newer brick family homes near Bayview Avenue and Highway 404. We also serve Aurora Highlands, Aurora Grove, Bayview Southeast, Shining Hill and properties in Rural Aurora.
Beyond the town, Sempra serves Newmarket, King, Whitchurch-Stouffville and the rest of York Region and the GTA.
And When You Do Want Colour
With more than 16 million colours and hundreds of patterns available, the same lights that give you warm white on a Tuesday can handle every celebration:
A glowing countdown display for New Year's Eve
Deep red for Valentine's Day
Bright summer colours for the Victoria Day long weekend
A welcoming display for a holiday open house
Classic Christmas Eve colours that switch on by schedule
Whatever palette suits a family reunion in the backyard
Each display can be saved and scheduled once, so it comes back automatically next year.
Aurora Permanent Lighting FAQs
We only want understated white lighting. Is Celebright more than we need?
Not at all. Many homeowners run warm white almost every night and rarely use colour. The dedicated white LED in each bulb is designed for exactly that. You can lower the brightness for a very subtle effect. The colour features are there if you ever want them, and they don't change how the system looks day to day.
Our home has steep gables and several peaks. Can the lighting follow them?
Complex rooflines are common in Aurora, especially on larger custom and estate homes. We design each layout around the specific home, and the range of track profiles helps us fit different fascia and roof details. During the estimate, we'll point out any section that isn't a good fit, so you know exactly what to expect.
Can the lights turn on at dusk automatically, even as the seasons change?
Yes. Schedules can follow sunrise and sunset, so your lights come on as it gets dark whether that's 4:45 in December or after 9 in June. You can also set a fixed off time and create separate schedules for specific dates.
Does Sempra serve all of Aurora?
Yes. Sempra is based in neighbouring Richmond Hill, and Aurora is well within our regular service area. Estimates are free, and in many cases we can measure your home using Google Maps. We're also happy to arrange a site visit, virtual meeting or phone call if you'd like to talk it through.
What does the warranty cover?
Every Sempra installation includes a 5-year warranty covering parts and labour. The bulbs are rated IP68, and the connectors are waterproof, so the system is designed for year-round exterior use.
