How Permanent Lighting Works on Attached Homes

We light your section. The layout covers your portion of the roofline, and the track finishes neatly at your property line.

Interior and end units differ. An interior townhome usually has a front roofline only. An end unit may also have a side gable, which gives us more to work with.

Freehold and condo ownership differ. A freehold townhome is generally your decision. A condominium townhome, including many POTL (parcel of tied land) communities, usually needs approval from the condo corporation for exterior changes. Check your documents or ask your property manager before booking.

Neighbours can coordinate. Each home has its own system and app, so the lights aren't linked. Some neighbours still agree on matching colours or schedules for a consistent look across the block.

The details are the same as any install. The track is colour-matched to your builder's trim, usually tucked under the fascia, and wiring runs through the attic where possible.

Often, yes. Even a single front roofline creates a clean line of light. We'll show you what the layout would look like during the estimate.

Do we need permission from our condo corporation?

If your townhome is part of a condominium corporation, including many POTL communities, you'll likely need its approval for exterior changes. Freehold owners generally don't, but check your documents to be sure.

Can our neighbours and we have the same lights?

Each home has its own system, so the lights aren't linked. You and your neighbours can still choose the same colours and schedules. If several neighbours are interested, let us know when you contact us.

Will the track match our builder's trim?

Very likely. The track comes in more than 100 colours and 11 profiles, so it can be matched to most builder-standard fascia.
